Persik Kediri Gearing Up for Clash Against Persija Jakarta!

Persik Kediri is using the FIFA Matchday break to fine-tune their game ahead of their Super League clash against Persija Jakarta on 20 November 2025. The 'White Tigers' are undergoing intensive training to prepare for the challenge.

Coach Ong Kim Swee has identified key areas needing improvement before facing the capital city team. He emphasizes that improving their finishing is a top priority for Ezra Walian and the rest of the squad, crucial for securing a positive result in their 13th-week away game.

"Finishing is our main focus. There are also several other things that need to be addressed based on evaluations from previous matches," he stated.

Persija: A Force to Be Reckoned With

The Malaysian coach acknowledges that Persija is a formidable opponent. However, Ong insists that Persik cannot afford to drop points, as their position in the league table is slipping away from the top spots and they are under increasing pressure from the teams below.

"Our points are getting further away from the top competition, while the distance with the bottom teams is also quite close," he noted.

Ong is urging his players to give their all to bring back a positive result from the upcoming match.

Friendly Match in the Works

Persik Kediri is also planning a friendly match during the international break to strengthen their strategy and evaluate the team. However, they are still searching for an opponent.

"For the trial match, we are trying to find a team, but there is no certainty yet," Ong added.

The team hopes that these adjustments will lead to a stronger performance against Persija Jakarta and a climb back up the league table.
