Massive Shake-Up! Scotland's Rugby Squad Revamped for Tonga Clash!

Scotland vs Tonga: A Rugby Revolution at Murrayfield!

Get ready for a completely different Scotland rugby team! Coach Gregor Townsend has made a whopping 14 changes to the starting XV for their clash against Tonga this Sunday at Murrayfield. Only captain Sione Tuipulotu retains his spot after last week's disappointing loss to Argentina.

The shake-up comes after Scotland threw away a 21-0 lead against the Pumas, ultimately losing 33-24. Townsend is clearly looking for a response and a fresh approach as they face the Tongans.

Fagerson's Return and Key Players Back

The big news is the return of Zander Fagerson! The Glasgow Warriors prop is back after being sidelined for over seven months with calf and knee injuries. He'll be a key part of an experienced front row alongside Rory Sutherland and George Turner, who celebrates his 50th cap.

Duhan van der Merwe, Scotland's record try-scorer, is also back on the wing after being dropped for the previous two tests. Kyle Rowe joins him on the other wing, while Tom Jordan starts at fullback.

New Faces and a Chance to Impress

Fergus Burke gets another chance at fly-half, replacing Finn Russell, who doesn't even make the matchday 23. Magnus Bradbury makes his first Scotland start in over three years at No 8, with Andy Onyeama-Christie and Jamie Ritchie also coming into the side as flankers.

With Scotland currently ranked ninth in the world (Tonga are tenth places below), a victory is expected. However, a convincing performance is crucial to silence the critics questioning Townsend's future as Scotland boss. Will the revamped squad deliver?
