The match, held at the Inter & Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida, saw Iqraam Rayners netting the decisive goal that earned Masandawana a crucial three points.

Despite an hour's delay due to inclement weather, Sundowns remained focused and determined. Coach Miguel Cardoso expressed his delight with the win, acknowledging the challenges ahead, particularly against European powerhouse Borussia Dortmund and Brazilian giants Fluminense.
"We’re extremely happy to have fulfilled our dream of winning a match at the Club World Cup, especially under this new format. Victories at this level are never easy," said Cardoso.
