Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are setting their sights on further success at the FIFA Club World Cup after their recent UEFA Champions League victory. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has stated the team's hunger for more titles as they prepare to face Botafogo.

PSG's Dominant Start

The French champions began their Group B campaign with a resounding 4-0 win over Atlético Madrid at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. This victory came shortly after their impressive 5-0 win against Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

Donnarumma emphasized the importance of the Club World Cup, saying, "The Club World Cup is a very important competition for us, we must continue to remain 100 per cent focused to reach the final and the trophy."

Hunger for Victory

The team's desire to win is palpable. "Everyone is hungry for victories, to win titles; it's important for now and for next year," Donnarumma added.

PSG Comfortable as Favourites

Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz acknowledged the pressure of being tournament favourites but stated that the team is focused on each match. "It's positive if everyone is talking about us, isn't it? But we don't feel that pressure, we don't think about that, but rather about the next match."

Botafogo: A Worthy Opponent

PSG's upcoming opponents, Botafogo, qualified for the Club World Cup after winning the Copa Libertadores in 2024. They started their campaign with a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders.

Striker Goncalo Ramos admitted limited knowledge of Botafogo but acknowledged their strength. "They're a good team, it's different for us to play against a team from Brazil," he said.
