Get ready for a week of electrifying rugby action as the FNB U18 Craven Week kicks off at Hoërskool Middelburg in Mpumalanga! South Africa's top schoolboy rugby talent will be on display from Monday, 7 July, to Saturday, 12 July, 2025. This prestigious tournament marks the culmination of SA Rugby's Youth Weeks programme, showcasing the future stars of South African rugby.
What to Expect at Craven Week 2025
Sixteen teams will battle it out over five action-packed days. Keep an eye out for future Springboks as they compete for glory. The tournament not only provides a platform for individual brilliance but also serves as a crucial selection ground for the SA Schools and SA Schools 'A' teams, which will be announced at the end of the week. These teams will then face each other on Thursday, 17 July, at the same venue, followed by the U18 International Series in August.
Returning Stars and Opening Day Fixtures
Excitingly, nine players who represented SA Schools and SA U18 teams last year are back in their provincial squads, eager to impress once again. These include talents from Western Province, Free State, KZN, Lions, and Eastern Province. The opening day promises thrilling encounters, with Western Province XV taking on the Griffons in the first match at 09h30. Following that, Free State will clash with South Western Districts. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 14h00, followed by a showdown between the host team, Hollywood Foundation Pumas, and the Limpopo Blue Bulls.

Defending champions DHL Western Province will be in action on Tuesday, alongside teams like the Leopards, Valke, Border, Suzuki Griquas, Sharks High Schools, Eastern Province, and Sanlam Boland.
