American tennis sensation Ben Shelton has captured hearts at Wimbledon, not just with his powerful serves, but with his endearing plea to the crowd. After securing a spot in the fourth round against Italy's Lorenzo Sonego, Shelton publicly requested that his sister, Emma, receive extra time off from her job at Morgan Stanley so she could continue cheering him on at the prestigious tournament.

Shelton's 'Lucky Charm'

Shelton, seeded 10th, has been in impressive form, winning all nine sets he's played. He credits his success, in part, to his 'lucky charm,' his sister Emma, who has been present at every match. In a post-match interview, Shelton expressed his gratitude for his team, parents, and girlfriend, US women’s national team star Trinity Rodman, who were also in attendance.

The Crowd's Reaction

However, when Shelton mentioned that Emma had to return to work at Morgan Stanley in the US on Monday, the Wimbledon crowd responded with playful boos. Emma was seen covering her face, seemingly embarrassed by the attention.

Morgan Stanley to the Rescue!

Shelton playfully appealed to the crowd, saying, "If any of you all have some (connections) and get her a couple extra days off so she can (stay and) we can keep this rolling, that'd be great!" Turns out, the plea worked! Emma later posted a video on Instagram celebrating her extended leave, captioning it "thank you MS" with blue heart emojis and "return flight: cancelled."

So, it looks like Shelton will have his lucky charm by his side as he faces Sonego. Can Shelton continue his winning streak? Only time will tell, but with his family's support – and a bit of help from Morgan Stanley – he's definitely one to watch at Wimbledon!
