Ngezana's Late Night? FCSB Boss Says 'Do What You Want!' 🔥
FCSB owner Gigi Becali has finally spoken out about Siyabonga Ngezana after the Bafana Bafana star was spotted at a festival in Romania in the early hours of the morning. The reports in the Romanian press suggested Ngezana might be in trouble.
Ngezana played the full match in FCSB's 3-1 win over Inter Club d’Escaldes in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. However, reports circulated that he may have landed in hot water with club management after being seen at the Neversea Kapital festival at the National Arena around 4am, just hours after FCSB won the Romanian Super Cup.
This led to speculation that Becali, who has reportedly warned Ngezana about his off-field behaviour before, might take disciplinary action. But Becali seems unconcerned, saying Ngezana is free to do as he pleases outside of football, as long as he performs on the pitch.
Becali's Comments on Ngezana's Free Time
"They were at the festival for an hour, Ngezana and Baba (Alhassan)," Becali told Digi Sport. "Ngezana can do whatever he wants, as long as he performs. If he doesn't perform, he can sit on the bench."
Becali added, "Well, Ngezana could go without sleep for two days and he'd still get past any striker — he's a rock. What matters to me is what he does in training camp and during team activities. I'm not going to keep tabs on him in his free time. They can do whatever they want in their spare time."
Champions League Qualification
FCSB are preparing for the second leg of their Champions League qualifying tie against Inter Club d’Escaldes. Inter Escaldes will need to overcome a 3-1 deficit to advance.
Inter Escaldes has a strong home record, remaining unbeaten at the DEVK-Arena since August 2024. However, FCSB, the Romanian champions, are on a 14-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.
Stay tuned for more updates as FCSB continues their Champions League journey and Ngezana continues to impress on the pitch.
