Garland Motel Shooting: 3 Arrested in Las Vegas Man's Death!
GARLAND, Texas - Three men have been arrested and charged with capital murder following a shooting at a Garland motel last month. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Santiago Lopez Morales from Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Incident
According to Garland police, officers responded to a shooting report at the Motel 6 parking lot on LBJ Freeway on June 20th. Upon arrival, they found Morales with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The Arrests
Police have arrested Jesus De Nazareth Bellorin-Guzman, 23, Jose Luis Trivino-Cruz, 35, and Yosguar Aponte Jimenez, 20, in connection with the shooting. All three are being held without bond due to an immigration hold. Trivino-Cruz also faces charges of aggravated robbery and indecent assault.
Linked to Another Robbery?
Investigators believe that two of the suspects were involved in a robbery at another motel earlier the same morning. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Garland Police Department.
