Celtic Kick Off Flag Day with New Signings! Is Victory Assured?

Brendan Rodgers has revealed his Celtic starting XI for today's flag day clash against St. Mirren. The Scottish Premiership champions are back in action, hosting Stephen Robinson's side in Glasgow's east end. Club legend Paul McStay will unfurl the league flag pre-match, adding to the electric atmosphere.

The last time these two teams met, James Forrest's late goal secured a draw after Jonah Ayunga had put St. Mirren ahead. Rodgers will be hoping for a far more convincing performance this time around, aiming to put Celtic two points ahead of Rangers after their draw with Motherwell.

Kasper Schmeichel makes his debut in goal, while Kieran Tierney returns to Celtic's starting lineup for the first time in over six years, slotting in at left-back. Callum McGregor will captain the team from midfield, and Adam Idah will lead the attack.

There are a total of nine changes from Celtic's final pre-season game, a 1-1 draw with Al Ahli, which they eventually won on penalties. The new-look team features summer signings eager to impress the Celtic faithful.

The starting XI is: Schmeichel, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Hatate, Nygren, Yang, Maeda, Idah. The substitutes are: Sinisalo, Trusty, McCowan, Shin, Kenny, Engels, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston.

Kick-off is scheduled for the unusual time of 4.30pm. Can Celtic deliver a dominant performance on flag day with their new signings in the mix?
