Pakistan have continued their strong performance against the West Indies in the T20 arena, securing a series victory. Their spin bowlers proved to be the key weapon in their arsenal, contributing significantly to a 14-run win in the opening T20 international held in Lauderhill, Florida. This victory further extends the West Indies' string of T20 defeats.

Saim Ayub shone with a half-century, supported by consistent run contributions from his teammates. While Jason Holder managed to dismiss Ayub for 57, Pakistan capitalised on solid performances from Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Nawaz. A spectacular six from Mohammad Haris helped Pakistan gather crucial runs in the final overs.

Pakistan's bowling attack dismantled the West Indies batting lineup, with Mohammad Nawaz claiming the wickets of Johnson Charles and young debutant Jewel Andrew, both scoring 35 runs. Andrew became the youngest player to debut for the West Indies in a T20 international.

Series Decider and Injury Update

In the series decider, Pakistan opted to bat first after winning the toss. However, the team suffered a setback as Fakhar Zaman was ruled out due to a left hamstring strain sustained during the second T20I. The injury will also keep him out of the subsequent three-ODI series. Shaheen Afridi was also left out of the lineup.

Khushdil Shah and Haris Rauf replaced Fakhar and Afridi, respectively. The West Indies maintained an unchanged playing XI.
