Levante UD Extends Unbeaten Pre-Season Run

Levante UD continued their positive pre-season form with a goalless draw against Al-Qadsiah at the Estadi Olimpic Camilo Cano in La Nucía. The result means Levante remains undefeated and has yet to concede a goal during their pre-season campaign.

From the kickoff, Levante looked to take the initiative, pressing forward with intent, although their attacks were somewhat hesitant. They attempted to find the net from set pieces, particularly corners, but failed to capitalize on these opportunities. Around the half-hour mark, a promising link-up between Iván Romero and Koya almost broke the deadlock, but the ball narrowly missed the left post.

Al-Qadsiah responded with a chance of their own in the 36th minute, a corner that forced a save from P. Campos after a powerful header. The Saudi team finished the first half strongly, applying more pressure, but couldn't trouble the Levante goalkeeper.

Second Half Action

After the interval, Michel González's side showed greater intensity. However, Julián Calero's team fought their way back into the game and created a good opportunity when Oriol Rey set up Morales. The forward's shot was cleared by the Levante defence. Cabello and Iván Romero also carved out a couple of dangerous openings.

Both teams made a raft of changes in the second half, giving valuable playing time to their squads in preparation for the upcoming season. The game became more balanced, with neither goalkeeper seriously tested until the final stages. Al-Qadsiah did manage to test Primo with a late shot, but the game ultimately ended in a stalemate. Levante UD will be hoping to convert these draws into wins when the season starts.
